Joan Elizabeth

I've been a creative spirit since before I could walk. From elementary to high school, art classes were always my safe haven, and in 2008 I earned my BFA in Visual Arts from the University of Florida. Since then I've applied my skills, both learned and self-taught, to various jobs including illustration, graphic design, and even cake decorating as well as numerous independent commissions for art and graphic design work. I discovered a particular joy in working with felt this year while practicing stop-motion animation, a new medium I continue to work and play with.

My most recent work is mostly about releasing decades self sabotage due to what I call lowercase t trauma and perfectionism in order to find the flow state through play, experimentation and meditation, connection with and expression of my own creative soul, which I believe is the divine within all of us.
