THE SLAYER OF THE BEAST
This is a handmade "dragonslayer sword" crafted from Eastern red cedar all materials have air dried for 1yr prior to the process. The blade was formed from the trunk of a local cedar tree trunk . It was rough cut into a plank on a sawmill,sent through my thickness planer to flatten it ,then shaped with a skill saw and sanded with belt sander to create a nice crisp clean blade edge . The handle was crafted from a cedar limb 8 inch diameter turned and sanded on my wood lathe . Handle was then notched for blade to be attached with wood glue and screws ,jute rope was added as an accent ,then an all natural cutting board oil was applied followed by an all natural cutting board conditioner for a natural finish! My inspiration behind this is go big or go home!!
