He Cuts Off His Nose Despite His Face
Beneath the crooked, groaning tree,
A wild-haired man sits wrathfully.
Crows cackle sharp, like judgment cast,
As orange skies burn bold and vast.
With blade in hand, he plots his fight,
To cut and carve for wounded spite.
"Let vengeance bloom!" his curses sing-
The crows just laugh at such a thing.
The blade draws close, the moment fraught,
Yet spite achieves what wisdom ought.
For who’s the fool, the fates decree,
To mar oneself so voraciously?
